Quick Tip: Launchy - Reboot, Restart, and Logoff Windows (Windows Only)
There is no doubt, Launchy is my right hand Windows app when it comes to productivity. If you haven’t checked out Launchy yet you should give it a go. Launchy allows you to launch any application on your machine by typing part of or the whole name of the program into Launchy’s menu. The Launchy menu remains hidden until suddenly awaken by pressing the Alt+Space bar. You can configure Launchy to open on different key combonations, apply skins, and even run it from your USB drive. I have three quick tips for those of you already using this great tool.
Quick Tip 1: Logoff Windows
Type logoff into the Launchy menu to quickly logoff your pc from without using the start menu.
Quick Tip 2: Restart Windows
type reboot to quickly restart your Windows machine.
Quick Tip 3: Shutdown Windows
Type shutdown to quickly shutdown Windows from the Launchy menu.
