SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Apple Computer Inc. shares climbed almost 10% Wednesday after the company unveiled software that will let its newest Macintosh computers run Microsoft Corp.’s Windows operating system, a watershed decision that may help boost its share of the PC market.
This was a long time in the making.

Today I would like to tell you all about Bluehost.com . Bluehost.com is a web hosting company I use to host this site and many of my web design clients websites.
I have used Bluehost.com as the home for timmatheson.com for a little over a year now and I must say I am impressed with their quality of service. So why am I blabbing about this on my blog? Well I recently found out that the owner of Bluehost.com Matthew Heaton previously owned 50megsforfree.com the company was soon bought out by Freeservers.com and Mat became a partner in the company. This amazed me because of its ironic properties. When I first began to design websites I had no knowledge of web pages, web forms ect. just a copy of FrontPage express and an old Compaq computer. I needed a place to host my sites and quickly joined on with Freeservers.com not realizing it at the time I later joined Bluehost.com because of their excellent web hosting package offer. When Matt Heaton posted his blog found here I realized all this and was amazed at the fact that we had a lot of interaction with each other and did not even know it. There really is no point to this post just wanted to talk a little bit about Bluehost.com and let everyone know what a great Hosting Provider they are.

I ran across something interesting the other day on the internet. The concept of a Flash blog and a nice tutorial to get you started. The basic concept of this is that you build a database to store information I choose mySQL but any would database would probably work. Then using php connect to the db select all the conetn and echo it to the screen using the same method when writing text documents to load into Flash dynamic fields. Each field is assigned a variable name and the loadvariables(); calls all the data from the url. You can pass url parameters to your script to tell it what you want to retrieve. A naming convention is important to have in a situation like this so you can reuse the variable names and make your one script more flexable.I am currently working on a beta version of a Flash blog hopefully I will deploy it here.

Ok folks this has gotta be one of the best tools out there right now. Anyone who has ever tried to configure PHP, Apache and or MySQL on there local machine and has failed can appreciate this installation. Basically what this application will do in a nutshell is install Apache, MySQL, and PHP on any Windows or OSX based machine with just a few clicks and a question or two your done. Now you can finally get back to what you love doin and forget about the rest. This tool has made my life 110% easier and best of all it’s free. This is great for anyone just wanting a quick database system for testing sites locally. My development tool of choice is Dreamweaver 8 if any of you are out there wondering. Enjoy the application and stay tuned for more great development app’s. Download WAMP SERVER!

I recently found this great tool from Medialabs called psd2fla. Psd2fla is an Adobe Photoshop plugin that allows yo to export your Photoshop document directly to Flash and still maintain the integrity of the layers in the original photoshop document. This has got to be one of my favorite Adobe Photoshop Plugins yet. I love it and there is a demo version of the plugin available here PSD2FLA

Well I finally found the information I was looking for. You basically make all your external swf files and then using the main timeline of your movie use actionscript to load each swf into place. Using loadMovieNum(”myMovie.swf”, 1); myMovie.sfw being your movie clip with a preloader and 1 being the level depth of the movie clip.
